Botanical Echoes: Cacti and Cultural Heritage

This project presents a rich exploration of the interplay between architecture and nature, drawing inspiration from a spectrum of influences that range from the vibrant landscapes of Mexico to contemporary urban installations. My journey commenced with a transformative trip to Mexico, where I discovered the captivating works of esteemed architects Luis Barragán and Víctor Legorreta. Their profound reverence for natural elements, especially trees, became a foundational principle in my design approach. As a tribute to Mexico’s distinct botanical heritage, I conceptualized a cactus-themed plant pot, envisioning it as a powerful symbol of the region's resilience and intrinsic beauty. The design is purposefully minimalist, reminiscent of the grace of a postage stamp, thereby elevating a practical item into a cultural souvenir that encapsulates the essence of my travels.
